VACANCY OPEN FOR CHARD TOWN COUNCILLOR ROLE IN CRIMCHARD WARD - ⭕
Chard Town Council is seeking a new councillor following the recent resignation of Cllr Grief-Page. The vacancy, announced on 27th February, applies to the Crimchard ward, giving local residents an opportunity to get involved in shaping their community.
- How to Apply or Trigger an Election
If ten electors from the parish submit a written request for an election to Somerset Council’s Chief Executive, an election will be held. This request must have been made within 14 days of the notice (excluding weekends and public holidays). If no request is made, the Town Council will fill the vacancy through co-option, meaning they will select a suitable candidate themselves.
