TEENAGER KILLED IN EAST DEVON CRASH AS POLICE APPEAL FOR WITNESSES - 🚨

A tragic road traffic collision in the early hours of Tuesday morning has left one teenager dead and two others injured near the East Devon village of Otterton.
Emergency services were called to Pinn Lane at around 2.15am on 29th April following reports of a single-vehicle crash. Despite the efforts of paramedics, an 18-year-old man from the Holsworthy area was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
Two other 18-year-old men, one from the Wadebridge area and another from Bodmin, in Cornwall, sustained injuries and were taken to hospital. One has since been discharged, while the other remains under medical care.
Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed that both surviving teenagers were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The Wadebridge man was also arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink and has been released on bail pending further investigation. The Bodmin teenager was de-arrested while he receives treatment in hospital.
Local roads were closed as officers from the Roads Policing Team conducted a forensic examination of the scene. The closure was later handed over to highways at around 1.30pm.
Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to assist with their investigation.
