SHED-ACHE RETURNS TO CHARD FOR A FUN-FILLED FAMILY SHOW - 🎭
Report by Kelly Leonard for Pulman's Weekly News
Families in Chard are in for a treat this May as the popular outdoor show Shed-ache makes a joyful return to the town.
Presented by aKa Dance Theatre, this energetic and delightfully silly performance will take place on Saturday 24th May, from 11.00am to midday at Great Mead, next to Holyrood Academy on Zembard Lane.
The event is completely free and promises to be a lively mix of dance, theatre, and storytelling.
With a focus on themes such as nature, wildlife, and growth, the show complements the aims of the Great Mead project - an initiative that brings people together in shared outdoor spaces.
Attendees are encouraged to bring along a picnic and enjoy some quality time with friends, neighbours, and family after the performance.
“We’re delighted to be welcoming back Shed-ache to Chard later this month,” said Mark Helyar, Director of Theatre at Take Art. “It’s a seriously silly show with themes around nature, wildlife, and growing that chime with the Great Mead pilot project. Many families really enjoyed it last year and asked for more - so do come and join us!”
This year’s version of Shed-ache comes with new ideas, exciting props, and even more big energy.
Following last year’s success, the show is now hitting the road on a national tour, giving audiences across the UK the chance to experience its charm.
Adding to the local flavour, Nicky and the Community Team at Tesco have generously donated free snacks for everyone, helping to create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all ages.
