Crewkerne to mark 80th anniversary of VE Day with family celebration - 🇬🇧

The Royal British Legion Crewkerne Branch is set to host a day of family-friendly festivities on Saturday, 10th May 2025, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day. The event will take place at Severalls War Memorial Green from 10.45am to 3.00pm.
Visitors can look forward to tea, coffee, cakes, and refreshments from the Scouts' Burger Bar, alongside a variety of local stalls. Attendees are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the era by dressing in 1940s attire for the fancy dress competitions, open to both adults and children.
Live music will be provided by The Phoenix Band and The Poppettes, creating a nostalgic atmosphere throughout the day.
A short commemorative service and wreath laying, led by the Branch Chaplain, the Rev Andrew, will be held at 11.00am.
This event promises to be a meaningful and enjoyable occasion for all, as the community comes together to remember, reflect, and celebrate this significant moment in history.
