AXMINSTER RESIDENTS INVITED TO ANNUAL PARISH MEETING - 🤝
Report by Duncan Williams for Pulman's Weekly News
Axminster residents are invited to attend the Annual Meeting of the Parish at Axminster Guildhall on Monday, 3rd March, at 7.00pm. The meeting, hosted by Mayor Jill Farrow (pictured), offers a chance for the community to raise concerns, ask questions, and help shape the town’s future.
Unlike the more formal Annual Council Meeting held in May, this event encourages open discussion and engagement.
Each year, a different theme is explored, with past meetings covering topics such as climate action, emergency planning, and local democracy.
This year, the meeting will focus on Axminster’s high street and economy, with speakers from the Axminster Chamber of Commerce and local traders sharing insights on the town’s economic future.
There will also be discussions on plans for VE Day and VJ Day commemorations, with representatives from the Royal British Legion and Axminster Heritage Centre presenting their arrangements.
Updates from various public representatives will also be provided, giving residents an opportunity to stay informed and involved in local matters.
